We are a church that believes the Word of God, as revealed in Old and New Testaments, is the all-sufficient rule of faith and practice. We are here to help you fill that inner "hole" that can only be filled by God, and to be your church family every step of your walk and through the difficulties you experience in your life.
At First Baptist Church of Lady Lake, the Holy Word of God - the Bible - is our guide for everything we do. We work to disciple Christians at all levels of knowledge and experience to prepare them to bring Glory to God through the testimony. If you have not been here recently, we urge you to plan a visit one Sunday and find a church where we are all part of God's family.
Bible Study / Sunday School
Sunday morning starts at 9am with Sunday School. We have classes geared for everyone - youth, teens, adults, and women.
Children’s Sunday School
Children's Sunday School convenes every Sunday morning at 9 am in the Family Learning Center (FLC). Our program is continuously growing to enhance our support for the youth and teen disciples as they build their foundation and journey with Christ.
Youth Chorus Sunday School
Each Sunday morning at 9:00, the Pastor has begun a special Sunday School to build a Youth Chorus in which they not only learn to sing together they also learn the Biblical truths in the songs they are singing.
Sunday Worship Service
Then stay for Sunday Morning Worship services at 10am in the Chapel. It's a joyful time of worship through song, praise, and hearing the Word of God. As a family friendly church we reserve the front rows for children from 11 years old and up. For younger children we have a special worship service - Children's Church - at the same time as our main service.
During our Sunday Morning Worship service, we have nursery space available for parents to take their younger children. The nursery is connected to the Chapel audio-video system so that no one will miss getting “fed” with God’s Word. If you would like to volunteer to help with that ministry, please contact Fran at the church office (352) 753 4477.
Children's Church

Children's Church is designed for youth from 5 years old (Kindergarten) to 12 years old (Fifth Grade). a place where kids learn to worship and build faith foundations. It includes kid-friendly teaching, singing, and other worship elements. Children's church allows kids to be themselves and learn to share their faith with others. Children’s Church runs at 10am, the same time our normal Sunday Morning Worship takes place.

God called us to pray for each other - and on Wednesday evenings at 7pm we gather to pray and hear from the perfect Word of God.
Community events help us to engage our neighbors, and they provide opportunities for us to "let our light shine" in the world.
Church events help us to build a stronger church family. "So we, though many, are one body in Christ, and individually members one of another (Romans 12:5, ESV).
We are one body in Christ! We are connected in Christ! We are family!

First Baptist Church of Lady Lake accepts the Word of God as revealed in Old and New Testaments as the all-sufficient rule of faith and practice, and adopts the following as Fundamental Truths.
The sixty-six books of the Bible are the total of all inscripturated revelation God has given to man. They were verbally inspired and without error of any kind. God has miraculously preserved His word to this day though no original manuscripts exist. (Revelation 22:18-19, II Timothy 3:15-16)
There is one true God who has revealed Himself in the words of the Bible in the three personalities of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit; this is three persons in one Godhead (Exodus 20:3).
He substituted Himself as the payment for our sins on the cross (Romans 5:8). He rose bodily from the grave (I Corinthians 15:12-20, John 20:26-29). He is exalted on the right hand of the Father (Acts 7:56). He will physically return for His people before the Tribulation Period (I Thessalonians 4:13-14). He will personally reign on the earth during the Millennium (Revelation 20:4-6).
Man was created by the direct act of God, in God’s image. Adam and Eve were historical people in a historical garden named Eden. Adam, by the free exercise of his will, sinned against God incurring both physical and spiritual death on himself, Eve, and all mankind. (Genesis 3:1-24; Romans 5:12)
Salvation is received when one repents toward God of the offenses he has committed against God, and, upon realization of his hopeless condition in and of himself, trusts Jesus Christ alone to save him from the personal payment for those sins, to satisfy the wrath of God upon those sins, and to make him fit for the kingdom of heaven.
Salvation is given and received as a free gift. One who has trusted Christ as personal savior is the only one who can unselfishly live for God simply because he loves Him, and not to receive or to keep something. Any concept of the possibility of the loss of salvation infinitely lowers man’s privilege in Christ. (John 10:28-30).
The Permanence of Salvation is taught in the symbols used of salvation, “born again, eternal life, never perish,” etc. and by the fact that the entire trinity is involved in keeping us saved. (Ephesians 1:13).
Please reach us at office@fbcladylake.org if you cannot find an answer to your question.
Our Sunday services are at 10:00am, immediately after adult and youth Sunday School at 9am.
No. There is no dress code. God's House is open to everyone, so we welcome you to come as you are.
The ordinance of Baptism in water is commanded in the Scriptures. All who repent and believe in Jesus Christ as personal savior are to be baptized; thus it is a step of obedience to identify the believer publicly with Christ. To be consistent with the symbol of the burial and resurrection of Christ, Baptism must be by immersion. (Matthew 3:16, 28:19-20; Acts 8:39)
Although we have each been called by our Lord Christ Jesus to spread the Gospel to “all the world,” we cannot personally go everywhere. That is why the church, together as a body of believers, committed and selected a particular set of missionaries to support financially.
We are an autonomous evangelical church and are not affiliated with any denomination. Major decisions regarding business matters are made by the church membership. As directed by the Bible, the church pastor makes and is held accountable by God for any doctrinal or pastoral decisions. Our pastor is Dr. Paul B. Harsh, II, D.Min.
We have many members, of all age, sex, race, who . We may even have some who are unsure like you are. That is why we work with everyone individually to help them understand what God has called them to do in order to accept the sacrifice Christ made on our behalf to bring us into fellowship with God so that we may have eternal life.
Absolutely not! While there are a small number of ministries where we ask that you be a church member to participate, most activities and ministries of the church are open to everyone who attends.
The Lord’s Supper consists of two elements, bread and the fruit of the vine. It is to be observed until Jesus returns, is memorial of the sufferings and death of the Lord Jesus Christ on the cross, and provides an occasion for personal assessment of one’s life and love toward Christ. (I Corinthians 11:23-30)
