A feature started during the recent coronavirus scare, the First Baptist Church of Lake realized that God's people need to learn more about Him daily. The Bible is the way that we come to know God and so Dr. Paul Harsh and the teaching staff of the church began posting these short three to six minute daily devotionals. In this collection of short three to five minute daily devotional videos, Pastor Paul, and the teachers of First Baptist Church of Lady Lake, will bring God’s Word to life daily. God Himself taught us that His Word is good for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness.
Please, take three to five minutes every day to watch the video and spend time with our Holy Creator.

Daily Devotional 10
When suffering or sacrifice has dragged on for a long period of time, or even if it is for longer than we expected, we can become "hopeless." Our faith begins to become dry and withered. Listen to Dr. Harsh as he explores how, in Jeremiah chapter 32, we are reminded that in those times, our LORD provides water for His children. He is truly the endless water of life for His children. Wouldn't it be a tragedy to have such a source of refreshment and not use it!

Isiah 32 not only describes our God as a hiding place from the wind but it also tells how we can depend on God to a shelter from the storm. The times we are living in right now are certainly a storm - with it unclear what the final outcome of the coronavirus is going to, Dr. Paul teaches us that God taught us in the Bible to rest assured that He will be our shelter during this storm. When we are suffering, one of the things that makes it bearable is to know that someone cares for us. God cares for us all! God not only cares for us, but is in control of the storms of our life. He is our hiding place from these storms. In today's devotional, Dr. Paul reminds us that mankind is scared and panicked because we cannot control the events of the world. We need to rest our faith in God, allowing our faith that He is in control of everything to assure us and allow us to rest. In the Bible, God's inspired Word, He calls us to allow Him to be our "hiding" and "safe place." We need to lean on Him in all things, and He will be there to protect us from harm just like our earthly fathers do today. It is wonderful to rest assured that we have such a close relationship with our heavenly father that we can depend on Him entirely.
